Goals of the Search Engine Marketing working group: The Search Engine Marketing working group was first convened in 2002 as a project group of search engine marketing agencies and search services. It soon came up with a number of results, including the first quality standards for reliable search engine optimisation.
Since the year 2004, the project group has acquired a new membership set-up and pursued the goal of boosting knowledge and awareness of the market by carrying out a number of roadshows. Based on the introduction of an SEM certificate, the participating agencies also undertake to observe certain standards of quality in order to guarantee a professional and reliable service to their clients.
